These rugs are hand spun, dyed, knotted, and sculpted by our team of independent craftspeople in Bhadohi, India. In the first week they dye the jute. From second until third week, the rugs are knotted. Any outlying fibres are then trimmed by hand with scissors, the rugs are washed four times, and dried under the sun. Afterward they are stretched and packed. There are only 20 made of each size of these rugs, and custom sizes will be available on demand for a period of 6 months.
Any variation in color or detailing is a result of the handcrafted nature of this item and makes each piece unique. Please also note this rug is a low pile, natural fibre rug. There may be some loose fibres within the package, but they will become minimal with use.
